“From August 2015 to July 2016, I lost over 70lb. A large part of that successful weight loss was getting involved at the Fitness Center at Cardinal Health. The convenience of being less than a minute walk away allowed me to stop making excuses as to why I couldn’t get to the gym. I also liked being close enough to work out during my lunches. The classes encouraged me to try new types of workouts. Joining the competitions, such as the Survival of the Fittest, held me accountable to lose or at the least maintain my weight during the Winter months when I have gained in past years. The staff is friendly and welcoming, another reason I have always felt comfortable going there. Because of The Fitness Center, I have been able to maintain my weight loss and set more fitness goals. “

“I started working out during lunch regularly in 2017 as part of a New Year’s Resolution. Unlike other workout initiatives I’ve tried, this one stuck. The classes meet me where I’m at, the instructors are friendly and know my name, and I’ve been able to exercise with co-workers and build relationships. I’ve lost 5 lbs. without even really trying to and gained significant muscle mass – all the while, my general mood and motivation have notably improved. I’m so grateful for the Fitness Center and for all you do to support our well-being.”

“I began training with Drew last year and have seen significant gains in strength and fitness, improvement in form and technique and body composition. I am stronger than I have ever been. He takes a very scientific approach to our training to assure I am doing the right things to enhance performance. He is great about adjusting our training with different goals and race schedules. The improvements I have seen in the major lifts such as deadlift, squat, bench press and overhead press are more than I would have hoped for. His support and coaching have led to success in my racing and allowed me to achieve things I never thought I could.  The group classes led by Susan and Drew continue to add a new dimension to my training. Specifically the 650 burn and Thursday morning Weight room warrior classes give me an opportunity to work on things I don’t usually take the time to do. For example, cardio moves like squat jumps, mountain climbers and burpees are staples in the burn class. Drew pushes us to work hard on every rep and set. Susan’s morning class is consistently a great workout. She always has a very organized, structured routine that is different every week. Her attention to detail and flexibility for participants is always appreciated by members. Overall fitness – I train at this gym twice sometimes three times a day and the staff is awesome. They are always attentive to members and share best practices related to strength moves. I can count on them to be supportive in all things fitness and I look forward to my time in the gym. “Without the Cardinal Health Fitness Center I don’t know if I would have ever got in shape. 5 years ago (with high cholesterol and 30 pounds overweight, in my early thirties) I started going, knowing next to nothing. Sticking to the machines and trying to keep a low profile. Then I was encouraged to do the group classes. The Group classes really helped me learn a lot and provided a fun and comfortable setting to gain a great base. Fast forward, and I have trained with a personal trainer ongoing for the last few years and Now I am a fitness maniac. “Having the fitness center on-site has allowed me to take an active role in my health while balancing my work priorities. It is easy to say “I’m too busy to workout” or “I am too stressed to go to the gym”… it isn’t hard to walk the 50 feet to the gym and be in & out within an hour. The fun and friendly staff are just a bonus. I truly no longer wish to go to any other gym and I recognize the employee benefit of having the CAH gym here as I go through my work week. In fact, a lot of my friends are jealous of the easy access to a gym that Cardinal Health provides! Also a big shout out to the team for caring. Drew, Susan, and Ryan know me. They know my struggles, my triumphs, and my personality. They can laugh with me and motivate me -which is an added benefit to the gym here vs. others off site. “

Thanks to Susan’s 650 ripped class, I finally feel comfortable lifting weights. I’ve always been so much more focused on Cardio, that I never knew how good of a workout you can get by lifting!
